Autism Rainbow Day 2010

Autism Rainbow Day 2010 was a great success. With 15,000 global members on our Facebook Cause 'Autism Rainbow Day - Global Awareness Campaign' 'Autism Rainbow Day - Global Awareness Campaign' thousands of people celebrated the day from all over the world.

We were very busy on the day visiting local supporters. We attended the Oasis Community Childcare Centre, The Office of Tony Zappia MP (Federal Member for Makin), The City of Tea Tree Gully and Modbury Hospital.

We wish to thank everyone who celebrated the day and helped spread the word about autsim awareness.

Rainbow Land Play Time Family Support Group

Rainbow Land Play Time is held at the Greenwith Community Centre, Greenwith, South Australia. The premises are proudly provided by the City of Tea Tree Gully as part of their Neighbourhood Development Program. Much appreciation and gratitude goes to the City of Tea Tree Gully, especially their Neighbourhood Development and Home and Community Care Teams for their ongoing support.

RAS Objectives

RAS objectives are to provide support and care services to people and families living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental delay by:

Always maintaining a positive, proactive and can do culture.

Providing as much unbiased information about therapy and healthcare interventions and treatments as possible enabling families to make informed decisions.

Providing as many autism support services to families at no, or a minimal cost, as possible.

Supporting other like-minded organizations to provide valuable support services.

Providing support to family units living with ASD to ensure maximum outcomes are achieved for not just the individual, but the whole family.

Operating the organisation as cost effectively as possible to ensure maximum quality services are provided to families and individuals.

Offering support services to people living with autism of all ages.

Promoting autism awareness and educate society about autism at every opportunity both in Australia and internationally through Rainbow Day and autism awareness campaigns.

Advocating on behalf of families for improved services and policies that promote social and family inclusion.

Participating in, and funding valuable research into the causes of, and best interventions for autism.

Supporting the need for improved diagnostic methods for autism spectrum disorder.

Focusing on education options for people with ASD and developmental delay to ensure better educational opportunities and outcomes.

Focusing on employment options for people with ASD and developmental delay to ensure better employment opportunities and outcomes.

Providing ongoing and short-term services that facilitate social and family inclusion.

Providing as much continuity of care as practicable to its families and clients.
